Bringing together like-minded students looking for ways to gain knowledge and leadership skills to amplify their personal and professional success.

The Boston College Women’s Summit: Own It is a game-changing summit meant to inspire Boston College students with an interest in supporting and empowering young women. Built entirely by Boston College students, Own It bridges the gap between a diverse group of 21st century leaders and the millennials who admire them, by shaking up the leadership arena and producing an accessible event for college-aged students. The theme for “Own It” is owning our successes, owning our opinions, and owning our differences.

Over the course of the day, speakers share thoughtful wisdom from a wide array of fields including media, politics, business, and STEM. Highlights from past summits include Carrie Rich, The Global Good Fund co-founder and CEO, Kate White, former Editor in Chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine, Sophia Amoruso, CEO of Nasty Gal clothing and author of NYT bestseller #GIRLBOSS, Libby Moore, Oprah’s former chief-of-staff, Susan Bissell, Chief of Child protection at UNICEF, Rupal Patel, TED speaker and founder of VocaliD.

The day will include a keynote address, panels, and workshops as well as some dance parties with Boston College alum, students, faculty, and many guests. It will be a day of celebration, learning, and empowerment.
